What starts as a little break from work ends up in a life-changing experience in the beautiful Swiss Alps.
Today, we are thrilled to be the stop on the Blog Tour for The Little Swiss Ski Chalet by Julie Caplin.
The Little Swiss Ski Chalet is book # 7 in the Romantic Escapes series but can be read as a standalone.
I have previously reviewed The Little Teashop in Tokyo, and I was excited to take another literary trip, this time to Swiss.

Mina was a food technician whose ideas were too big for the company she worked for. Her bright and risk-taking personality was, at the same time, an asset and a problem in her life.
When her boyfriend cheated on her, and her revenge got her a few unpaid weeks off work, she decided to visit her godmother in her chalet on the Swiss Mountains.
It was a sweet story about accepting who you are and find a place to belong.
There was a lot of information about Switzerland, including delicious recipes that made me seriously hungry. So much so that I even tried my luck at baking.
The side characters were sweet, some more than others (lol). My favorite was the grumpy but lovely Johannes. I loved his proposal idea so very much (You will have to read to find out what I’m talking about).
The romance includes a furtive kiss on the train and a generous dose of serendipity. The couple was charming and very down-to-Earth about their relationship.
In times of COVID, it is a blessing to travel to places and meet new people. I’ve been to Switzerland once, but I did not venture into the Alps. Hopefully, next time!
The Little Swiss Ski Chalet is a lovely contemporary romance full of cold weather and warm characters!
Disclosure: I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

About the Author
Julie Caplin is addicted to travel and good food. She’s on a constant hunt for the perfect gin and is obsessively picky about glasses, tonic and garnishes. Between regular gin tastings, she’s been writing her debut novel which is set in just one of the many cities she’s explored over the years.
